Spandan is an annual event organised by Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur since last fourteen years. It is a National Conference on Advances In Engineering, Technology and Applied Sciences. This year the conference is organised by Department of Computer Technology on 21st and 22nd of March, 2014. The event includes keynotes addresses by eminent personalities, paper presentation sessions and poster exhibition.
The conference is intended to provide a platform for researchers, student of engineering and applied sciences to exchange their ideas and to share the emerging technological developments in their repective areas. Every year about 500-800 students participate in this conference. It provides the platform to the students of UG, PG programs and Ph.D. scholars for exhibiting their research talent. It is one of the most popular conferences among students in different parts of India.
Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering was established in 1984 by Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur is an Autonomous Institution affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. YCCE is renowned for engineering education and research. For over 29 years, it has successfully nurtured young engineering professionals, becoming a sought after destination for students aspiring pursue higher technical education and placement in the competitive software and core industry.
The college is guided by Academic Advisory Board consisting of eminent academicians from prestigious technical institutions in India and different parts of the world. The college is having well qualified and experienced faculty members.
YCCE has become the first private engineering college to acquire "Autonomous Status" in the Central India. The institution is implementing autonomy in progressive manner from academic session 2010-11.
